My Bio
Kathy Smolinski brings with her more than 25 years of experience with horses and the horse industry. This accomplished equestrienne has an intense love and respect for horses that gives her an additional edge that will benefit riders at Pepper Ridge. A repetitive winner of the MHJA Doc Clapperton Sportsmanship Award, her talent, attitude, and never ending enthusiasm make a great combination that we are excited about. She has shown successfully in the MHJA equitation and hunter divisions and is well qualified to take on the tentative beginner to the rider that is ready for the show ring. If you have a horse that needs some training, or just a little "fine tuning," she can do the job. While Kathy loves all aspects of riding and training horses, her special interest in is the rider who wants to learn for him/herself how to train their own horse; someone who wants to take the time to really learn the basics so they can teach their own horses (for example) to do that ever elusive flying change. Kathy has some evening hours during the week available by appointment.
